Tanzania Cultural Tours

Tanzania's new cultural tours are a well-liked good that is primarily offered as a supplemental service to the country's standard safari vacation packages. The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) and the Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV) collaborated to create the majority of the country's cultural tour destinations, beginning in a few northern Tanzanian communities near the city of Arusha and expanding to other regions. These are still-existing traditional communities that have been opened to tourists so they can see how the more than 120 tribes of rural Tanzania live as they have always done.

The majority of travelers, especially first-timers, believe that Africa and its people are enchantingly diverse and unique experiences. This is a truth that Bavian Break Adventures recognizes, and we make a point of visiting the nearby settlements.

Some of the common cultural centers which may be tailored to your itinerary include:

  • Mto wa Mbu – a multicultural village-cum-town near Lake Manyara National Park
  • Maasai Boma and villages in Ngorongoro Conservation Area
  • Lake Eyasi – land of the Hadzabe and Datoga
  • Arusha – Ng’ireshi village of Waarusha tribe, relatives of the Maasai, 7km from Arusha town
  • Arusha – Mulala village of Waarusha and Wameru tribes, 30kms from Arusha
